10 Attraction Secrets Women Know That Men Don't

10 Attraction Secrets Women Know That Men Don't

If you've ever seen a guy get so bent out of shape over a girl he liked, then you'll know exactly what I mean when I say...
WOMEN KNOW THE SECRETS OF ATTRACTION!

Actually, women know much more about how to attract someone than men do.
Hey, it's not our fault. Women have YEARS of practice at getting people to notice them! They have lots of experience with getting guys to like them. In other words: They've gone through the training!
The funny thing about attraction is that it cuts both ways. Men can actually learn these secrets too and get great results with them.
So what are they?

SECRET 1:  Know What You Want

Too many guys suffer from the problem of having to "take what they can get." Women tend to get a lot of suitors coming their way, so they can be a little bit more picky.
When you know what you're looking for in a partner, you're not only screening potential candidates, but you're making a very powerful statement as well.
You're showing that you're not desperate. That you are the one with the power because you are doing the judging. And when you're the one with the power, you're the one who must be pursued

SECRET 2:  Be The Prize

Being the one pursued means that you have a certain amount of value to others. They want you, for some reason, and it's now their job to try and get you.
In order for this to happen, you must place a certain value on yourself. You must feel like you are worthy to be pursued by others, and you must communicate this fact with your actions and attitude.
Girls get lots of guys trying to impress them. But it's the rare guy they want to impress who winds up with them.

SECRET 3:  Dress To Impress

Women place a lot of importance on how they look. It's for this reason that many of them get the male attention they do.
Women understand that what you wear helps to get others to notice you. In fact, because women are so in-tune with fashion, they really tend to notice how a guy dresses.
A man who understands how to cultivate his own appearance and look good will get a lot of attention from women, not just because he looks nice, but because he's communicating he understands how important appearance is to them.

SECRET 4:  Smell Fantastic

All too often, men ignore the sense of smell. They don't bother to put on cologne or after-shave. But women know that if you're going to attract someone, you need to appeal to all the senses.
Think about the perfumes women wear that drive you wild and you'll know just how important smelling good can be.
Wearing a good cologne around a woman can do wonders to make her aroused in your presence.

SECRET 5:  Be Interesting

Despite all the physical traits involved in attraction, having nothing but good looks can wear thin quickly. This is why it's important to be interesting.
Being interesting equates to having something to talk about that the person you are trying to attract can relate to.
Being up to date on current events, pop culture, music, gossip, and any number of things can help a woman feel interested in spending time with you.

But in addition to knowing what to talk about, you also have to be able to LISTEN and let the other person relate to you. After all, nothing is more interesting than someone who is interested in you.

 SECRET 6:  Do What's Unexpected

Doing what is not expected of you can create an air of excitement and uncertainty around you. It keeps people on their feet and attentive when around you.
Of course, you shouldn't be comical when doing the unexpected, such as suddenly shouting out a curse word or something ridiculous like that.
Instead, you have to play against expectations. For instance, instead of complimenting a girl on her looks, compliment her on her intelligence. She probably does not get a lot of compliments like that, and it will make you stand out.
Taking her out on a creative date, instead of your typical dinner-and-a-movie is unexpected as well.
When you do what's not expected of you, you keep excitement alive.

SECRET 7:  Be Hot And Cold

Emotions are what must be stimulated to make attraction work. Without emotion, attraction is impossible.
But too much of one emotion is just as bad as a lack of emotion. Feeling good all the time or feeling bad all the time causes us to stray from the person we are with.
When you alternate between hot and cold emotions, you create an emotional roller coaster that keeps things interesting and your partner interested.
Women do this all the time. They will act very interested and attracted to you, and make you feel good. Then, they'll act like you're not there and ignore you, and make you feel bad.
This constant alternation of good and bad feelings keeps their partner invested in them. And men can do this too.

SECRET 8:  Play Hard To Get

No one ever appreciates that which comes easily to them. Women know this better than anyone. If they are "too easy," chances are the guy will leave them after they've had their conquest.
The idea of playing hard to get makes the pursuer emotionally invest themselves in the outcome of their hunt.
By making a woman work for your affections, you are getting her to commit to wanting to be with you.

SECRET 9:  Be Adventurous

Being adventurous is different from doing what's unexpected. Adventure is about pushing boundaries and doing things that are new and outside your typical comfort zone.
Adventurous women intrigue men. They make them feel alive, and those good feelings become associated with the girl.
But it works both ways. An adventurous man will easily sweep a girl off her feet. He will make her feel alive, and open up how she experiences the world around her.

SECRET 10:  Use Your Sexuality

Women know that being sexual and using their sexuality is a powerful tool in attracting men. But men typically have no idea how to be sexual.
Men equate sexuality with women, because that's how they understand sex. But men can be sexy too, and being so will get women to become attracted just as easily as men are.
The difference here is that in order for a man to be sexy, he must ACT manly. He must show the best characteristics of what it is to be a man for the woman to get turned on.
Using your sexuality as a man means being strong, being brave, being aggressive, and allowing your masculine energy to radiate from you.
The more you are able to use your sexuality, the more women will respond to you.

Top 10 Bad Habits That Lead to Weight Gain

Top 10 Bad Habits That Lead to Weight Gain

1.Eating amnesia. Very often, this condition is TV-induced. "Your hand is stuck in the bag, and you don't realize what or how much you're eating,"
2. Too few zzzz's. Sleep loss makes you feel hungry even if you are full, because sleep loss affects the secretion of cortisol, a hormone that regulates appetite, studies show. Also, sleep loss increases fat storage in your body.
3. After-dinner treats. "It tends to be mindless eating and usually involves something sweet," says Zelman. "Start a new habit -- have a warm cup of tea, sparkling water, something non-caloric. Most importantly, quit eating anything after dinner."
4. Starvation-mode shopping. Face it, grocery stores and extreme hunger just don't mix. You end up buying the first quick-fix item you see. Slow down. Eat a little something -- something healthy -- before grocery shopping Suggestion: Get a sandwich on your way to the grocery store -- grilled chicken breast, that is. "Then you won't be so hungry so tempted," says Zelman. Also, shop with a grocery list and stick to it.
5. Getting grabby. You're at work, in the airport, anywhere, and hunger sets in. Easiest thing is to grab what's convenient -- and too often, junk food wins. Better bets: a homemade sandwich, a few carrots, fresh fruit, a smoothie, or trail mix. Plan ahead. Have healthy snacks at your fingertips.
6. Drinking without thinking. Beer, alcohol, wine, soft drinks -- they all go down easy. But the calories can really add up. "Save your liquid calories for when you really want them," says Zelman.
7. Skipping breakfast. "That's a big mistake, because you've fasted overnight. Your body needs fuel, and your metabolism needs to be jump-started with food." Best breakfast choices: whole-grain cereal with fresh fruit.
8. Portion distortion. We tend to eat everything served to us -- whether at home or on the go. "Portions are huge these days," says Zelman. "Learn what normal portions are, and stick to them."
9. Confusing "fat-free" with "calorie-free." Those "healthy" cookies and other snacks aren't really pure. "Calories are calories," says Zelman. Read the label. Polishing off 10 fat-free cookies won't help your waistline.
10. Slathering sandwiches with mayo. Try using mustard or low-fat or fat-free mayonnaise for easy calorie savings. Layer lots of crunchy veggies into the sandwich for added flavor and extra nutrition

10 Bad Habits That Can Cause Depression

10 Bad Habits That Can Cause Depression

Trap 1: Being a Couch Potato

When you're feeling down, it's tempting to hole up in your bed or on the couch. Yet exercise - even moderate activity like brisk walking - has been shown to be at least as effective against depression as antidepressant medication. It works by boosting the activity of the "feel-good" neurochemicals dopamine and serotonin.

For an "antidepressant dose" of exercise, try at least 40 minutes of brisk walking or other aerobic activity three times a week.

Trap 2: Not Eating "Brain Food"

Omega-3 fats are key building blocks of brain tissue. But the body can't make omega-3s; they have to come from our diets. Unfortunately, most Americans don't consume nearly enough Omega-3s, and a deficiency leaves the brain vulnerable to depression. Omega-3s are found in wild game, cold-water fish and other seafood, but the most convenient source is a fish oil supplement. Ask your doctor about taking a daily dose of 1,000 mg of EPA, the most anti-inflammatory form of omega-3.

Trap 3: Avoiding Sunlight

Sunlight exposure is a natural mood booster. It triggers the brain's production of serotonin, decreasing anxiety and giving a sense of well-being. Sunlight also helps reset the body clock each day, keeping sleep and other biological rhythms in sync.

During the short, cold, cloudy days of winter, an artificial light box can substitute effectively for missing sunlight. In fact, 30 minutes in front of a bright light box each day can help drive away the winter blues.

Trap 4: Not Getting Enough Vitamin D

Most people know vitamin D is needed to build strong bones. But it's also essential for brain health. Unfortunately, more than 80 percent of Americans are vitamin D deficient. From March through October, midday sunlight exposure stimulates vitamin D production in the skin - experts advise five to 15 minutes of daily exposure (without sunscreen). For the rest of the year, ask your doctor about taking a vitamin D supplement.

Trap 5: Having Poor Sleep Habits

Chronic sleep deprivation is a major trigger of clinical depression, and many Americans fail to get the recommended seven to eight hours a night. How can you get better sleep?

Use the bed only for sleep and sex - not for watching TV, reading, or using a laptop. Turn in for bed and get up at the same time each day. Avoid caffeine and other stimulants after midday. Finally, turn off all overhead lights

Trap 6: Avoiding Friends and Family

When life becomes stressful, people often cut themselves off from others. That's exactly the wrong thing to do, as research has shown that contact with supportive friends and family members can dramatically cut the risk of depression. Proximity to those who care about us actually changes our brain chemistry, slamming the brakes on the brain's runaway stress circuits.

Trap 7: Mulling Things Over

When we're depressed or anxious, we're prone to dwelling at length on negative thoughts - rehashing themes of rejection, loss, failure, and threat, often for hours on end. Such rumination on negative thoughts is a major trigger for depression - and taking steps to avoid rumination has proven to be highly effective against depression.

How can you avoid rumination? Redirect attention away from your thoughts and toward interaction with others, or shift your focus to an absorbing activity. Alternatively, spend 10 minutes writing down the troubling thoughts, as a prelude to walking away from them.

Trap 8: Running with the Wrong Crowd

Scientists have discovered that moods are highly contagious: we "catch" them from the people around us, the result of specialized mirror neurons in the brain. If you're feeling blue, spending time with upbeat, optimistic people might help you "light up" your brain's positive emotion circuits.

Trap 9: Eating Sugar and Simple Carbs

Researchers now know that a depressed brain is an inflamed brain. And what we eat largely determines our level of inflammation. Sugar and simple carbs are highly inflammatory: they're best consumed sparingly, if at all.

In contrast, colorful fruits and veggies are chockablock with natural antioxidants. Eating them can protect the body's omega-3s, providing yet another nice antidepressant boost.

Trap 10: Failing to Get Help

Depression can be a life-threatening illness, and it's not one you should try to "tough out" or battle on your own. People experiencing depression can benefit from the guidance of a trained behavior therapist to help them put into action depression-fighting strategies like exercise, sunlight exposure, omega-3 supplementation, anti-ruminative activity, enhanced social connection, and healthy sleep habits.

World’s Top Ten Biggest Wars in History

World’s Top Ten Biggest Wars in History

The following list is not in a chronological order, instead, is sorted from the war with the lowest death toll to the highest. So here, we have the world’s ten biggest bloodiest wars in history.

 10. American Civil War (1861-1865)

The American Civil War was basically a war fought between the ‘North’ or the ‘Union’ and the South also known as the ‘Confederacy’ formed by the secession of several southern slave states. It was also known as the War Between the States or simply just the Civil War. The war had its roots set on issues of slavery and the extensions of it into the western territories of America. More than 800,000 people were killed in the war.

 9. Soviet War in Afghanistan (1979-1989)

A decade long war between the Soviet-led Afghan forces and the multi-national insurgent groups called the Mujahedeen; with the death toll of well over a million Afghan civilians and those that were participants in the war. The war although fought only in Afghanistan, billions of dollars were funded by countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and a few other.

8. Vietnam War (1955-1975)

Also known as the Second-Indochina War and as this period of American involvement in Vietnam made it the American War was basically a sequel to the First Indochina War that was fought between North Vietnam – supported by China and other communist allies and South Vietnam – supported by the United States and other anti-communist allies. Over a million civilians were killed in addition to the hundreds of thousands participants in the war.

7.  Thirty Year’s War (1618-1648)

One of the bloodiest wars on religion, as the name suggests itself a war that lasted over three decades; Thirty Year’s War was one of the longest and the most destructive conflicts in the European history and one of the longest continuous wars in Modern history. Historians have still not come to terms on the fact as to what ignited the fighting; rather there seem to be many parallel causes that fueled the war overtime. It grew as a religious war at first, but then developed into a continuation of the Bourbon-Habsburg rivalry for the European political pre-eminence with the death toll of well above 5 million people.

6. Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815)

Napoleonic Wars were a series of wars declared against the Napoleon’s French Empire by the opposing coalitions. The war was initially sparked by the French Revolution of 1789 and played out on an unprecedented scale, mainly owing to the application of modern mass conscription. French power was stronger than ever as Napoleon armies had conquered much of Europe but came to an ultimate military defeat after France’s disastrous invasion of Russia in 1812. With over six and a half million people dead the war came to an end resulting in the restoration of the Bourbon-Monarchy in France and the creation of the Concert of Europe.

5. Russian Civil War (1917-1922)

A war fought between the Bolshevik Red Army and the White Army, the loosely allied anti-Bolshevik forces; in the former Russian Empire was in fact a multi-party war with notably many foreign armies like the Allied Forces and pro-German armies warring against the Red Army. The war lasted only five short years but resulted in the death of over 7 million people all in all.

4.  Conquests by the Empire of Japan (1894-1945)

The Empire of Japan literally means the empire and world power that had existed from the Meiji Restoration that happened on 3rd January 1868 to the enactment of the post World War II Constitution of Japan on 3rd May 1947. Only after suffering a couple defeats and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki did the Empire of Japan surrendered to the Allies on the 2nd of September, 1945. The American involvement gave birth to a new constitution and was forced on from 3rd May, 1947 officially dissolving the Empire which had already been the cause of over 20 million deaths.

3. World War I (1914-1918)

It was one of the bloodiest global wars in the history of man-kind centered in Europe that began on 28 July 1914. It was previously called the Great War from its occurrence until the start of the mother of all blood baths in history, World War II. It involved all the great powers in the world, assembled in two opposing alliances the Allies and the Central Powers. The death toll for World War I was estimated to be around a staggering 50 million plus.

2.  Mongol Conquests (1206-1368)

A war that sparked in the dawn of the 13th century which resulted in the vast expansion of the Mongol Empire that covered much of Asia and Eastern Europe by mid 1300. It is believed by many historians that Mongol raids and invasions were one of the deadliest conflicts in human history up through that period. The Mongols brought terror to Europe on a scale not ever seen again until the twentieth century with more than 60 million killings on their way.

 1.  World War II (1939-1945)

Also known as the Second World War, fought between the vast majority of the world’s nations – including all the great powers – eventually forming two opposing military alliances like the First World War; the Allies and the Axis. Marked by mass deaths of civilians, including the Holocaust and the only use of nuclear weapons in warfare up to present, the war resulted in over 70 million fatalities and is believed to be the deadliest, bloodiest war ever in history which shook forever the foundations of our own existence.
